Dấu hiệu: by + N

Cách phân biệt chủ động và bị động:
Động từ dung ở bị động thì theo sau không có tân ngữ.

Xác định bị động dựa vào nghĩa của động từ và chủ ngữ
Ví dụ:

• I bought my car last year.
• My car was bought last year.

Need + Ving = need to be Pii: cần được làm gì

This report needs rewriting.

This report needs to be rewritten.

•      Verb + to do
•      Need, want, hope, decide, ….

•      Verb + doing
•      Like, love, finish, enjoy, avoid, …

•     Verb + to do/doing: nghĩa không đổi
•     Begin, start, like, love

•       Verb + to do/doing: nghĩa khác nhau

• Try to do: cố gắng
• Try doing: thử

• Remember/forget to do: nhớ/quên phải làm gì
• Don’t forget to wake me up.
• Remember/forget doing: nhớ/quên đã làm gì
• I will never forget visiting Thailand.

• Stop to do: dừng lại để làm gì
• Stop  doing: dừng làm việc gì

Quy tắc, một số bẫy thường gặp:

• Sau giới từ dùng Ving
• I am interested in playing computer games.
• Sau tính từ dùng to Verb
• It is too cold to go out.

Đặc biệt:

• Be busy/worth + Ving
• To do: chỉ mục đích
• I come here to interview you.
• To pass the exam, you must work harder.
• Ving: có thể làm chủ ngữ
• Learning English is very important.
• This/that + danh từ số ít/danh từ không đếm đc
• This news
• This/that còn đc dung để thay cho cả câu trước.

• Nếu chủ ngữ là the number of Ns thì động từ chia số ít
• Nếu chủ ngữ là a number of Ns thì động từ chia số nhiều
• The number of recuits has gone down this year.
• Most/all/some/a lot of/20% of/one third of/three quarters of + danh từ số nhiều/danh từ ko đếm đc
• All of the house was destroyed.
• All of the houses were destroyed.
• 70% of the land has been sold.

Phân tích: Câu này ở thời chủ động có chủ ngữ . cấu trúc have/ get sth + p2. Nhờ ai đó làm gì = to get sb to do sth.
